First Communion of 2013

David Funk gave an excellent sermon today entitled "Christian Joy".  It has really made me think about what should really make me happy and what I should be seeking in my daily life.

I was in charge of the communion service which went surprisingly smooth.  There were a few little hiccups, but I don't think anyone really noticed.  Some people gave testimonies as the emblems were passed out.  One testimony was from a teenager who gave thanks for her church family.  Awesome!

I got to play my bass guitar today, and it was fun.

This is going to be a good year!

Birthday 2012

I had a great celebration this year, thanks to Robin.  We had a few friends over and played some games.  That was hilarious.  Of course there was food.  I ate too much and got really sleepy before the party was over.  Man, I'm getting old.

My Motorcycle

After years of dreaming about taking a cruise down the highway on a sweet ride, I finally purchased a motorcycle earlier this year.  Wow!  I got a Suzuki M109R Boulevard Special Edition.  It is sweet!

It is the first motorcycle I've ridden on regularly since I was a teenager, so I don't have much to compare it to.  But I can say that for a cruiser, it is quick.

Everyone tells me to be careful, and they are right.  You can't enjoy your motorcycle if you're all broken up or worse.
